CAE Analysis Engineer for BIW and Chassis

Experience: 5 to 8 years

Location: Hyderabad

Responsibilities:

· Perform detailed CAE simulations (structural, NVH, crash, and durability) for BIW and Chassis components.

· Develop finite element models (FEM) for various BIW and chassis parts using CAE tools like ANSYS, Abaqus, LS-DYNA, etc.

· Analyze simulation results, identify potential issues, and optimize designs for performance, safety, and manufacturability.

· Assess and incorporate material properties and behavior into CAE models to predict real-world performance accurately.

· Work closely with design and development engineers to ensure CAE results are effectively integrated into the design process.

· Correlate CAE results with physical test data and iterate models to improve accuracy.

· Document analysis results, prepare technical reports, and present findings to the engineering team and management.

· Contribute to the development and refinement of CAE methodologies and tools.

· Stay updated with the latest CAE technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve simulation processes.

· Act as a mentor for new team members and juniors.

 

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering.

· 5 to 8 years of experience in CAE analysis for BIW and chassis components within the automotive industry.

· Proficiency in CAE software (ANSYS, Abaqus, LS-DYNA, HyperMesh, etc.) and finite element analysis (FEA).

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in interpreting CAE results and implementing design changes.

· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information.

· Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

· High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

· Experience with crashworthiness, NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness), and durability analysis.

· Knowledge of material properties and behavior, especially for lightweight materials.

· Familiarity with automotive industry standards and regulations.
